VP of Operations at Thumbtack Technology Inc., Jonathan has more than a decade’s experience building, guiding, and directing exceptionally effective engineering teams.

Before joining Thumbtack in May 2012, Jonathan led the New York Software Development team building Experian’s CheetahMail product. During his tenure there, he co-chaired Experian’s global Agile Development group, where he fostered his Agile skills and began to understand and take advantage of the versatility of Kanban.

Jonathan is now the very core of the Thumbtack’s transparent and collaborative operations team, which is based in New York City and Omsk. He coaches the team through using Lean and Agile methods so that they are always meeting their customers’ emergent needs while achieving Thumbtack’s strategic goals and ensuring a healthy work/life balance for all involved.

As a fervent advocate of the benefits of visualizing knowledge work and limiting WIP, he hosts the NYC Lean/Kanban Meetup where he facilitates a Lean Coffee instrumental in the evolution of New York’s Lean and Agile community.
